Dr Chryso Pieridi

Dr Chryso Pieridi is a part-time lecturer of Psychology at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology in Aristoteleio University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2007. She has obtained a master’s degree in science (MSc) in Health Psychology at the University of Surrey, UK and a PhD from the same university. Her research interests involved the phenomenological experience and identity of people with brain tumour following their diagnosis, with particular focus on returning to work.
During her PhD, Dr Pieridi has worked as an academic tutor for undergraduate students from 2009 until 2013. Upon her return to Cyprus in 2014, Dr Pieridi has obtained the position of lecturer (part-time) at the University of Nicosia. Courses include Educational Psychology, Statistics, General Psychology and Psychometrics.
Dr Pieridi is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Nicosia on a part-time basis.
