Evangelos graduated from the Nursing School in Athens in June 1986 and then worked in a Blue Cross clinic as a staff nurse. In 1991 he started working in St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. In 1992, he got specialized in Renal nursing at St. Bartholomew’s School of Nursing. He remained in London working as a renal nurse in a haemodialysis unit and afterwards, he completed his MSc in nursing at the City University of London.

After completing his nursing education, he moved to Cyprus and in 1997 he started working as a renal nurse at Larnaca hospital, in the haemodialysis unit. At the same time, he successfully established the peritoneal unit with 14 patients. He carried out certain types of research that resulted in the creation of important clinical protocols. In 2007, he started working as a lecturer in the nursing programme of the University of Nicosia. In 2012, he acquired a Post-graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from the University of Hertfordshire. Since then, he has been a PhD candidate at the University of Nicosia.
