The Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family (SPAVO) in cooperation with the Department of Student Affairs would like to offer an awareness raising Workshop: Digital Violence and Prevention of Cyber Bullying on Friday, 29 March 2024, between 10:00-12:00 at M114 Conference Room at the Millenium Building, University of Nicosia.  

Digital violence is a major concern for our society, and we believe that education is key to addressing it. In this context, the Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family (APHVF/SPAVO) offers this workshop, entitled “Digital violence and prevention of cyber bullying”, including: what is digital violence, special characteristics and forms of digital violence, impact and consequences on victims, identifying digital violence (red flags), rights of victims of gender-based violence and support services. Moreover, the seminar will present the services of APHVF, aiming to protect and support victims of GBV and DV in Cyprus, including those who experience digital violence. The students will be encouraged to elaborate and critically think the challenges experienced by both victims and professionals.
