When planning your study schedule at UNIC, you should first review the requirements of your Home Institution (including consulting with your academic supervisor) and then complete the OLA/LA.

Please request your Home University to provide guidance on filling out your OLA/LA.
The OLA/LA confirms the list of the courses and facilitates credits-transfer. The agreement requires approval from the student, the Home Institution, and the University of Nicosia before the student’s mobility.

Information required to fill in your OLA/LA is available here (“OLA-LA Information Guide”).

Guidelines on how to fill in your Online Learning Agreement (OLA)/Learning Agreement (LA):

  1. Bachelor Students can only register for Bachelor courses and Master students can only register for Master courses. Note that all courses whose code begins with 5, 6 or higher (example MIREL-500) are master’s courses. Please be careful in your selection and ensure that your academic supervisor at your home institution agrees with the selected courses. In case you are not sure about the level then please contact the UNIC Erasmus Office prior filling in your OLA/LA.
  2. The maximum number of ECTS a student can choose per semester is 30. No exceptions will be made.
  3. Make sure that there are no timetable clashes between the selected courses.
  4. While checking the course descriptions/outline, you are kindly requested to take into consideration the prerequisites and the number of ECTS each course has.
  5. The selected courses must be relevant to your programme of studies at the home university.
  6. Students are allowed to choose courses from different programmes of studies, considering that it is acceptable by their home institution.
  7. If a course is offered more than once, students must specify the section (time slot) they prefer in their OLA/LA.
  8. Please keep in mind that changes on the courses may occur until your arrival at UNIC, however you will be notified via email.

Changes to the Online Learning Agreement (OLA)/Learning Agreement (LA):

Due to the existing internal regulation of the University of Nicosia, changes to the OLA/LA need to be finalized within the first two weeks of classes. Changes will be made ONLY in exceptional cases and where needed for academic purposes (i.e. ineligibility for graduation).

The agreement should be updated immediately when changes occur.

Please keep in mind that after arriving at UNIC you might have to modify the OLA/LA for specific reasons, such as, cancellations of classes, timetable clashes, etc.
