Interim Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine, Zoe Polizopoulou, has been invited to deliver a presentation at the General Assembly of the European Veterinarians in Education, Research and Industry (EVERI) in Limassol, on 13 November 2025, on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) .

FVE’s General Assembly, which will be held in Limassol from 13-15 November 2025, holds special significance as it marks the 50th anniversary of the FVE, the official representative body for over 300,000 veterinarians across 39 European countries. The event is expected to bring together around 200 delegates, including prominent representatives of the veterinary profession from each member country.

Professor Polizopoulou was asked by EVERI to deliver a presentation on Veterinary Education in Cyprus and the relationship between veterinarians working in education, research, and industry, and those in clinical practice.

EVERI is an umbrella organization of 24 national and European associations of veterinarians employed in the sectors of education, research and industry. Its members comprise organisations representing veterinarians employed in academia, public and private research institutions, pharmaceutical and commercial enterprises, as well as those working as independent consultants.
