Inaugurated in 2019 by the University of Nicosia Medical School, the University of Nicosia Medical Centre (UNMC), which operates under the Cyprus General Healthcare System (GHS), has been committed to deliver comprehensive primary care services to the University of Nicosia community and the wider population, in Nicosia and in Ormideia.
The primary mission of UNMC is to advance quality primary care services, promote the academic learning of our medical students in the primary care area, and foster research initiatives in the realm of general medicine. We frequently host presentations on medical topics of interest for the general public, and hold conferences and meetings for the medical community.
In line with international standards of primary care, the Centre is committed to providing a professional and scientific-based approach to primary care practice, within a welcoming and friendly environment. Our team of personal doctors is complemented by visiting practitioners from various specialities such as cardiology, urology, pathology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, general surgery, radiology, clinical psychology, and clinical dietetics.
Recognising the necessity of flexible and convenient healthcare, UNMC provides a complete online platform for our patients. From the comfort of their personal device, patients can utilise online services such as scheduling of appointments, requesting prescription renewals, and arranging an online video consultation with their personal doctor.
