Zeynep Baz is an experienced data science leader with a strong background in AI and machine learning, currently working as Manager, Research Data Science at Facebook. With over a decade of experience, she has held pivotal roles at prominent tech companies such as Target, Lyft, and IBM, specializing in data science, AI strategy, and analytics. At Target, she served as Director of AI Science, where she led data-driven solutions and innovation. Zeynep’s early career at IBM involved leading global teams to develop cutting-edge retail science models. Her academic foundation includes a PhD research assistantship at the University of Pittsburgh, where she also taught advanced statistics and optimization courses.
