"Joannes is the founder of Lokad, a software company that specializes in building quantitative, predictive, and automated supply chain technology. He started Lokad in 2008 and has been leading the company ever since. Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, Joannes taught Cloud Computing and Software Engineering at the École normale supérieure in Paris for over seven years. He also held a position at TELECOM ParisTech, where he audited and coordinated publicly funded research programs in France and Europe.

With a background in mathematics and computer science, Joannes' technical interests include deep learning, differentiable programming, data science, algorithms, and optimization, particularly in the context of supply chain, retail, and big data. He is also focused on areas such as generative AI, Bitcoin, and high-performance computing (HPC).
