Mr Ioannis Sidiropoulos

Non-Resident Fellow

Ioannis Sidiropoulos is a Greece and Cyprus qualified lawyer, with studies in the London School of Economics and the University of Amsterdam, on Commercial law and International Trade and Investment matters. He has also received certification from the University of Oxford in the History of Economic Thought.

Parallel to his career in the legal industry, with experience in large legal organizations, Ioannis has a strong academic background having worked as a research assistant in a major program of the European Law Institute and is, currently, an academic fellow at Leiden University. He has a very strong interest in issues of history and international economic relations. He has a large number of publications in domestic and international newspapers. Indicatively:

Ioannis’ engagement with the Diplomatic Academy relates to the activities the newly formed Diplomatic History desk, whereby he produces analysis on matters of diplomatic history, relevant aspects of international economic relationships and arms procurement.
