PhD Candidate and DA Research Associate Petros Petrikkos has joined the prestigious Doctoral School on the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) as a Doctoral Fellow at the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) in Brussels.

The ESDC is an academic centre of excellence that is affiliated with the European External Action Service (EEAS). The CSDP Doctoral School incorporates Doctoral Fellows whose research engages with the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy.

The Autumn School of the CSDP took place on September 27 – October 1, 2021. Petros Petrikkos was present to represent both the University of Nicosia, as well as the Diplomatic Academy, with his research focusing on hybrid threats in small EU member-states, with Estonia and Cyprus as case studies. He networked with other Fellows specialising in other related subjects in defence and security.
