Announcing UNIC Evolve: Updates from Senior Leadership

We wish to inform you that Accelerate, the university’s AI platform, has been renamed to UNIC Evolve, effective immediately. This change reflects the strategic vision of UNIC's senior leadership as part of a broader repositioning of the platform. While further details on these exciting plans will follow later this year, please note that UNIC Evolve continues to operate as it has before, with no changes to its functionality.

The platform is now accessible at its new URL: https://evolve.unic.ac.cy/.

We encourage all staff to explore the platform under its new branding and take advantage of its enhanced capabilities.

AI Training Opportunities

The AI Learning Centre, in collaboration with the Training and Development Unit at the University of Nicosia, is organizing two practical AI training programmes designed to assist academic and administrative staff in mastering the capabilities of the Evolve platform.

These on-campus training sessions will focus on equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to integrate our Evolve AI tools into their daily workflows, ensuring responsible and effective use of AI at the university.

Training Goals

The training sessions are structured to help participants:

• Automate workflows to improve academic and administrative processes.
• Develop and use effective AI prompts to achieve specific outcomes.
• Ethically integrate AI tools, aligning with institutional policies.

1. Mastering AI Tools for Academic Excellence

• Target Audience: Academic Staff
• Dates: June 17, 24; July 1, 8
• Time: 10:00 – 12:30
• Sessions: 4 (2.5 hours each)

Participation and Registration

Participation is limited to 16 participants per group to ensure a practical and engaging experience for all attendees. If you are interested in joining, please follow the instructions in the email sent to you by management by June 13th.
