Human creativity: Is there a place for AI?

Arguably, creativity is something that is intrinsically human, but should there be a place for AI in the creative process?

According to the Oxford Languages dictionary: Creativity means the use of imagination or original ideas to create something. Humans are creative because they have imagination and original ideas.

So the term Human-Directed AI Creativity refers to the "human" being creative in selecting and refining iteratively AI output through the use of intelligently crafted prompt engineering.
