First Annual Meeting of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Public, Cyber and National Security

On 17/03/2021 the Institute of Public, Cyber and National Security (IPCNS) of the University of Nicosia had its first Annual Advisory Board Meeting.

The meeting was attended by IPCNS Advisory Board Chair, former Director of the FBI, Mr Louie Freeh, the Executive Director of CEPOL- the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training and Learning, Dr Detlef Schroeder, the former Chief Constable and Executive Director of the College of Policing in the UK Mr Mike Cunningham, and former Chief Constable, Professor at LJMU Sir Jon Murphey. The Advisory Board was also attended by the CEO of UNIC, Mr Antonis Polemitis and the Executive Director of IPCNS, Zacharias Chrysostomou.

Among the issues discussed and examined were the current and future role and objectives of IPCNS, synergies, partnerships, and aspects of cutting-edge topics for the present and future of public, cyber, and corporate security. Based on the outcome and key learnings of the meeting IPCNS 2021 strategic plan will be revised.
