New AI Training Opportunities at the University of Nicosia
The University of Nicosia is offering training programs to equip faculty and administrative staff with skills to use new Artificial Intelligence tools. These training sessions are designed to support academic excellence and administrative efficiency.
The training focuses on practical application and integrating AI into daily workflows using the Evolve platform while also touching upon ethical considerations. Each program is available in both face-to-face and online formats.
For Faculty: Mastering AI Tools for Academic Excellence
This 12-hour program, delivered over four 3-hour sessions, will help faculty members integrate AI tools into their teaching, research, and administrative tasks. The aim is to improve productivity, streamline academic processes, and maintain academic integrity.
Course Focus: Participants will gain practical skills in using the Evolve platform. The training covers:
- Foundational Knowledge: Understanding the core functions, navigation, and personalization settings of Evolve and PowerFlow.
- Workflow Automation: Learning to use different PowerFlow modes (Chat, Parallel agent, Sequential agent) to automate academic activities and manage tasks.
- Advanced AI Applications: Using features such as Personas, JSON structured outputs, web scraping techniques, and AI-powered agents.
- Effective Prompt Engineering: Developing skills to construct precise and effective AI prompts for academic purposes.
- Ethical AI Use: Understanding and applying ethical guidelines, university policies, and best practices for AI in academic contexts.

Course Focus: The program will provide administrative staff with skills to integrate Evolve tools into their daily tasks. Key areas include:
- Platform Fundamentals: Describing user-interface navigation, core functions, and customization options in Evolve and PowerFlow.
- Administrative Workflow Automation: Understanding and using PowerFlow modes (Chat, Parallel agent, Sequential agent) to streamline administrative processes.
- Advanced AI for Administration: Learning to use features like Personas, JSON Lists for structured data, web scraping for administrative needs, and automated AI agents.
