Building an Agentic Automated Bittensor Intelligence Briefing: AILC Develops a Specialized Daily News Briefing!
Leveraging Agentic Platforms and reasoning models to master the “Network of Networks.” This workflow was built by the AI Learning Centre.

This report details the architecture and functionality of a sophisticated automated workflow designed by the AI Learning Centre to gather, analyze, and deliver high-value intelligence specifically for the Bittensor ecosystem.
The Power of an Agentic Platform
Keeping up with the modern crypto landscape requires more than simple scripts; it requires intelligent orchestration. Our solution utilizes an advanced Agentic Platform—a visual system that acts as a "digital nervous system" for our intelligence gathering. It connects different data sources with smart AI models, allowing us to automate complex decision-making, read technical documentation, and filter out noise without needing us to write endless code.
The Use Case: Navigating the Bittensor Labyrinth
Bittensor is not just a single blockchain; it is a massive "network of networks." Following the Dynamic TAO (dTAO) upgrade in early 2025, the ecosystem has exploded in complexity.
The network has expanded to 128 subnets, each operating like its own independent startup with its own incentives and goals. Tracking this ecosystem now means monitoring over 100 competing markets, including:
-
Chutes (SN64): Serverless AI computing.
-
Targon (SN4): Platforms for running AI models.
-
Dippy: Roleplay and character AI apps.
-
Gradients (SN56): Tools for training AI models.
Valuable information is scattered across technical documentation, Reddit threads, governance votes, specialized newsletters (like TAO Times), and general news sites. For students and researchers, the challenge is distinguishing between a generic "AI update" and a specific, important change to how a subnet works.
The Automated Workflow Solution and its Benefits
Key Benefits:
-
Smart Filtering: The system uses a customized dictionary of known active subnets (e.g., Chutes, Targon, Gradients), ensuring it catches news even if the main "Bittensor" keyword is missing.
-
Context Awareness: It is trained to recognize specific technical terms like "Emissions" and "Registration Costs," while filtering out irrelevant general crypto chatter.
-
Reasoning-Based Analysis: Utilizing xAI’s Grok (grok-4-1-fast-reasoning), the platform understands the nuance of technical updates better than standard AI chat models.
-
Event Tracking: It specifically monitors for critical network events, such as the TAO Halving (December 12, 2025), to provide timely context.
-
Importance Scoring: Articles are graded not just on hype, but on Ecosystem Significance (does this affect the whole network?) and Actionability (is there something we need to do?).
Workflow Process Overview
The workflow operates as an autonomous intelligence agent. It gets triggered daily at 9:00 AM, executes a series of tasks to find and analyze news, and delivers a curated briefing in under 20 minutes.
1. Hybrid Source Aggregation
The Agentic Platform looks at a mix of general and specialized sources to ensure nothing is missed:
General Crypto Media: CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, The Defiant, DL News, Blockworks, and more.
Specialized Ecosystem Feeds:
- Reddit (r/bittensor_): Scrapes the last 24 hours of discussions to catch community sentiment.
- Specialized Newsletters: Extracts updates from ecosystem-specific outlets like TAO Times.
- Official Channels: Monitors the Bittensor Blog and Documentation for technical updates.
- CoinMarketCap AI: Fetches specific project updates tagged for TAO
2. Intelligent Detection & Filtering
This is the core differentiator of the workflow. Raw data passes through a Context-Aware Switchboard. The platform uses a hardcoded list of all 128 active Bittensor subnets. It performs a "fuzzy match" to detect if an article mentions specific subnets (e.g., "SN64", "Chutes") while intelligently filtering out generic noise (e.g., ignoring the word "Liquid" unless it is about "Liquid Staking" in a Bittensor context).
3. Two-Stage AI Analysis
Once the data is filtered, it enters a two-stage analysis pipeline powered by xAI's Grok:
- Stage 1: Relevance Check: An AI agent reads the content to confirm it is genuinely related to Bittensor. It asks: "Does this article discuss TAO, the Foundation, or a specific subnet in the correct context?" If the answer is no, the article is discarded immediately.
- Stage 2: Impact Scoring: Validated articles are passed to a second AI agent that scores them out of 25 based on a strict framework:
- Significance (0-5): Does this impact the main network or adoption?
- Credibility (0-5): Is this from an official source or just a rumor?
- Actionability (0-5): Is there a specific date or event mentioned?
- Novelty (0-5): Is this breaking news?
-
Signal Strength (0-5): Is this verifiable signal or speculative noise?
4. Deduplication (Grouping Similar Stories)
In crypto, a single announcement might be covered by five different blogs. The platform uses OpenAI Embeddings to "read" the titles and group them mathematically. If multiple sources cover the exact same topic, they are grouped together. The system selects the best version of the story and tags it with a "🔥 X MENTIONS" badge, showing that this is a verified, high-consensus event.
5. Intelligence Extraction & Delivery
The final top-ranked articles are sent to a summarization agent. This agent extracts a professional summary and a specific "Investor Insight"—a single powerful sentence explaining why a technical update matters financially (e.g., "Chutes (SN64) increasing emissions signals growing demand for serverless compute."). The final output is compiled into a HTML briefing, designed for quick reading, and emailed to subscribers.
The End Result
The Agentic Platform transforms a flood of fragmented technical updates, Reddit threads, and governance votes into a clean, prioritized intelligence briefing. This allows students and researchers at the AI Learning Centre to stay ahead of the curve in one of the most complex sectors of the crypto economy without spending hours scrolling through feeds.
