The process begins on a set schedule, automatically gathering the latest articles from all configured news sources simultaneously. To ensure a high-quality foundation for analysis, the workflow pulls from a curated list of credible, industry-leading publications:

To ensure maximum uptime, each RSS feed is configured to handle errors independently, allowing the workflow to proceed even if one source is temporarily unavailable.The system intelligently filters out any content that has been seen in previous runs, ensuring only new information is processed. The articles from every source are then formatted into a consistent data structure and combined into a single, master list for analysis. The workflow then uses a web scraper to fetch the full HTML content of each new article. A sophisticated switchboard directs the scraper to use the correct CSS selectors for each specific news source, ensuring the main body text is accurately extracted while stripping out irrelevant elements like ads and navigation bars. This clean article text is then prepared for the next stage.  In each run, it processes approximately 100 articles.

2. AI-Powered Analysis & Consensus Scoring

The intelligence core of the operation is a sophisticated AI ensemble method. Instead of relying on a single AI, the master list of articles is processed in parallel by two different state-of-the-art models: xAI's Grok (grok-4-1-fast-reasoning) and GPT-5. Each model independently assigns an "Impact Score" to every article based on our custom professional framework.

By leveraging multiple AI "opinions," we mitigate the biases and weaknesses at a certain level. After all articles are scored by both models, the results are intelligently merged to calculate a final "Consensus Score" for each article. This robust method produces a more accurate, reliable, and nuanced final ranking, identifying the news that truly matters. A filter is applied to only advance articles that achieve a consensus score of 17 or higher.

How the "Impact Score" is Calculated

To ensure the analysis is objective and transparent, each AI model is instructed to grade every article across five key professional criteria, with each criterion rated on a scale of 0 to 5. The total "Impact Score" is the sum of these individual scores, resulting in a final rating out of 25. The framework is as follows:

• Market Significance (0-5): How likely is this to impact a Top-20 crypto asset or a major thematic crypto sector? (5 = impacts BTC/ETH/major regulation).
• Signal Strength (0-5): Is this verifiable signal or speculative noise? (5 = hard fact like on-chain data or official announcement).
• Source Credibility (0-5): Are sources primary and verifiable? (5 = links to official blog, Etherscan, court filing).
• Actionability (0-5): Is there a specific, dated event an investor can act on? (5 = specific date for a token unlock, mainnet launch, exchange listing).
• Novelty (0-5): Is this breaking news? (5 = first report on a new event).

3. Deduplication & "Hot News" Tagging

Once the high-impact articles are identified, the workflow executes its deduplication engine. The title of every article is passed to an AI model (text-embedding-3-small) to create a "text embedding"—a mathematical representation of its meaning.

The workflow then uses cosine similarity logic to compare these embeddings. Articles with a high similarity score (>= 0.85) are grouped together as being about the same news event. The workflow then:

1. Selects only the single highest-scoring article from each group to be included in the brief.
2. Counts the number of articles in the group and assigns a "mentionCount" to that selected article.

This process is what enables the "🔥 X MENTIONS" badge in the final email, providing an immediate visual cue for stories with widespread industry coverage.

4. Deep Analysis with Scraping & Intelligence Extraction

After identifying the most impactful news, the workflow performs a deeper analysis. The system takes the top 10 highest-scoring articles and passes the full, scraped text to a specialized AI agent (o4-mini) tasked with two objectives:

1. Generate a concise, professional summary of the entire article.
2. Formulate a single, powerful "Investor Insight" that explains the key takeaway for an investor.

The "Investor Insight" is crucial because it answers the most important question for any market participant: "Why does this matter?" It acts as the bridge between raw information and actionable intelligence by providing immediate context and framing the news in terms of potential market impact.
