He subsequently completed postgraduate studies at the University of Liverpool, in veterinary dermatology and evidence-based veterinary medicine. She has been a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons since 2015. After gaining extensive experience in small animal veterinary clinics in the United Kingdom, Dr Kaparti obtained a postgraduate certificate in Small Animal Medicine. She subsequently transitioned to working in out-of-hour hospitals, where she primarily managed emergency and critical cases. In 2022, Dr Kaparti earned a certification in Emergency and Critical Care. Following her election as full professor (2015) and onwards, she served as Director of the Diagnostic Laboratory at the Department of Clinical Studies.<\/p>\n<p>Her main research field is veterinary clinical pathology (mostly clinical biochemistry of companion and farm animals). Special topics of interest include the long-term changes of cardiac biomarkers in canine mitral valve disease, the study of selected biomarkers in chronic renal disease, canine and feline senile cognitive dysfunction, epilepsy and degenerative CNS disorders, and trace elements in farm animals.<\/p>\n<p>She was accepted as Charter Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) upon the establishment of the College in 2001. In the following years (2014-2022) she was elected and served as vice president, president and past president of ECVCP. She was also elected as vice president (2021-2023) of the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS), and is serving (since 2024) as senior vice president of the same organisation. She currently represents EBVS in Veterinary Continuous Education in Europe (VetCEE), an organization that provides quality assurance and accreditation of national and international programs for Continuing Veterinary Education (CVE) in Europe and facilitates the recognition of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) between the various countries in Europe and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>She is a member of the FECAVA Council and has been involved in the production of several factsheets (Vector Borne diseases, Zoonoses), which are offered to be used by practicing veterinarians. Arsenopoulos holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the School of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He furthered his scientific knowledge with two Master of Science degrees. The first, from the same institution, focused on &#8220;Breeding and Internal Medicine of Ruminants&#8221;. The second, from the School of Agricultural Technology, Food Technology, and Nutrition at the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, concentrated on &#8220;Farm Animal Production&#8221;. He earned his Ph.D. in &#8220;Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases&#8221; from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Currently, he is pursuing a Master\u2019s in Business Administration from the School of Social and Political Sciences at Panteion University, Greece.<\/p>\n<p>His research has focused on the breeding and internal medicine of ruminants with special emphasis on parasitology and parasitic diseases. He has published 33 manuscripts and 50 research abstracts in national and international journals. He is actively engaged in research, with several papers currently in progress and under review. She continued her postgraduate studies at the Companion Animal Clinic, Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University, where she completed her MSc in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Through her clinical experience with neurologic and multi-trauma patients, she developed an interest in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. From 2017 she has been working with various sports medicine and rehabilitation cases.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Charalambous became a specialist of the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2023 after completing her residency at the Veterinary University of Vienna. Her publications and research focused on ground reaction forces and centre of pressure during physiotherapy exercises and heelwork. He completed an internship at the Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky and was then accepted as a surgical resident in equine surgery at Washington State University.
