Smoking Policy

As of January 1^st 2010, the University of Nicosia is a smoke free campus. This is in compliance with the Cyprus legislation on Smoking [Ο περί Προστασίας της Υγείας (Έλεγχος του καπνίσματος) Νόμος 2002-2009].

Smoking is allowed only in outside areas or other specifically designated areas, but students and faculty members must use ashtrays to extinguish their cigarettes in order to avoid starting a fire.
