Careers Office

The Careers Office at the University of Nicosia has been established to make students more aware of their professional choices, explore career opportunities, and develop their skills to achieve their full potential.

Furthermore, the Careers Office operates as a link between students seeking employment and organizations looking for career candidates.

Assistance in CV Writing and Preparation for Job Interviews

The Careers Office assists students and alumni in writing their CV and guides them for job interviews.

Seminars and Workshops

Students and alumni can benefit from a series of workshops, presentations and seminars organised every semester on topics such as “Note Taking”, “Time Management”, “Professional Appearance”, “Self Confidence”, “CV Writing & Interview Techniques”, “The Importance of Positive Attitude at Work Place”, “Academic Writing & Research”, “Unemployment in Cyprus”, “How to give a Presentation”, “A to Z how to Ensure a Job!”, “Success in Exams”, etc. All workshops, seminars and presentations are offered free of charge and are open to all students and alumni. Speakers in such seminars are outstanding professionals, career experts and in-house professors.

A certificate of attendance is given to all participants.

Annual Careers Exhibition Day

One of the most important events organised every spring by the Careers Center is the Annual Careers Exhibition. The Careers Exhibition is an excellent meeting opportunity for students/alumni and potential employers.


Special focus is also given to securing internships for students. Students are placed to a company for a minimum period of two weeks in order to gain practical insight in a selected field.

Careers Leaflet

The Careers Leaflet comes out once every month. It is a small handout usually 8-10 pages with all the available job vacancies of the month and some useful tips, e.g. (10 Tips for Building a Successful CV, 10 Tips for a Successful Interview and tips for Self-confidence).
