Welcome from the Dean

Welcome to the School of Business at the University of Nicosia;

Since its inception, our School has been characterized and energised by its highly trained, experienced and creative faculty who strive to create top-quality, interactive and educationally-rich learning experiences for our students, balancing rigorous theory and professional practice. Our proven track record in teaching excellence and research, as well as our impactful association with the business community render our graduates prime candidates to become leaders and responsible citizens, in high demand in Cyprus and beyond.

Our innovative spirit and quest for high quality learning combined with the ability to think ahead of the curve has always been our strength, and now more than ever, is how we are recognised through our offering of a full spectrum of education options. These range from undergraduate courses through to doctoral degrees in a wide variety of Business specialisations, including our Master’s degree in Digital Currencies – highly respected by most industry experts.

Beyond our students’ testimonials, it makes us all very proud to see our students who completed their first degree with the University of Nicosia deciding to continue with the School of Business, joining a diverse and highly motivated postgraduate student body to advance their knowledge and careers.

Of course we, and those familiar with our School, acknowledge that our programmes and graduates are high quality. To ensure that this fact is communicated to the rest of the world, we have set as strategic priority to work towards attaining accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB) International—a body internationally recognised for its high standards and rigorous review of business schools. This type of accreditation will provide leverage to our academic community and the degrees issued, reinforcing our academic reputation into the future, across and beyond Cyprus and the region.

Another of our major strategic initiatives lies in expanding our offering of undergraduate and graduate programmes, with high priority to those delivered online. This is a positive area of growth for the School, and one I, personally, am very excited about. School faculty, in collaboration with selected colleagues from partnering Universities in other countries, are preparing to offer joint degrees in a variety of emerging, high-in-demand topics. Our strategic partnerships are guided by the principle that our future graduates will be actively sought by prospective employees promoting even further our commitment to excellence.

We will always look for every opportunity to extend our reach and influence as a leader, both in the depth and forward thinking of the diverse offers we provide, and in accessibility to every national, regional or international organisation that can benefit from it.
