Halfway through my Business Administration degree at UNIC, I recognised my interest in startups and small businesses. I soon realised that the University provides a tremendous amount of resources and support in this area. Soon after, I began my startup journey by attending relevant seminars, and by taking part in a number of competitions and projects, all with the unwavering support of my professors.
Spending my student years in Cyprus and at UNIC was an important landmark in both my personal and professional development. The international environment and the opportunity to combine first-class studies and training with practical knowledge was a great approach and an extraordinary experience, which fully prepared me both for the hurdles one faces as an adult and the challenges in the globalised business world we now live in.
Moving to Cyprus in order to join UNIC was one of the biggest stepping-stones in my life. UNIC provided me with far more than just education. The Careers Office at UNIC is who assisted me in finding my first job at Nielsen almost a decade ago. From a fresh graduate in an entry-level position, today, I lead Global Consumer Research for Multi-billion Dollar Brands while working with C-level executives and representatives of The Fortune 100 Most Powerful Women. At UNIC, you are made to see that the sky is not the limit!
I had so many high points in my studies here. A major high point was a particular course: Enterprise Information Systems. I took the course as an independent study. It helped me develop my skills at SAP Hellas S.A., where I had the opportunity to get certified as an ERP Consultant. I want to thank the excellent faculty on the programme, who has had a profound impact on me. I’m working on a start-up back home, doing research and creating the infrastructure for the company to succeed – all because of my time at UNIC.

Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο στην Επιχειρηματική Εκπαίδευση: Ανάπτυξη Επιχειρηματικών Δεξιοτήτων
Για δεύτερη συνεχή χρονιά, το Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας και ο Junior Achievement Κύπρου συνδιοργάνωσαν το Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο για την Επιχειρηματική Εκπαίδευση, με θέμα «Ανάπτυξη Επιχειρηματικών Δεξιοτήτων». Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιήθηκε την 1η Μαρτίου 2024, από τις 8:00 μέχρι τις 13:30, στο Αμφιθέατρο UNESCO του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας και τελούσε υπό την αιγίδα της Υπουργού Παιδείας, Αθλητισμού και Νεολαίας.
