People and Organizational Structure

PSU is led by Dr. Andri Vrioni, Director of the Pedagogical Support Unit at University of Nicosia. She develops quality models and indicators for teaching and learning. She is also responsible for introducing innovative teaching and learning pedagogical methodologies related to: Diversity and Accessibility, Education for the 21st century Context, Interdisciplinary learning, Project Based Learning, Modern Technology and Brain Based Learning. Before joining University of Nicosia, she worked as a researcher and Coordinator at the Evaluation Committee of Private Universities – The local Quality Assurance Agency. She developed evaluation standards, indicators and tools to support ECPU quality assurance procedures. On 2019, she funded the Institute for STEAM Education. She developed STEAM Curriculum and related STEAM learning material. She also developed the standards and the Indicators to Certify STEAM Educational Institutions, Teachers and Students. During her work, she produced several reports and monitor agency’s external evaluation procedures. Her research interests focus on the Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Authentic Assessment, Quantitative and Qualitative Educational Research, Certification of 21st Century Competencies, Evaluation of Learning Outcomes, Certification of STEAM Learning. Her research work has been presented in local, national and international conferences and published in conference proceedings.

PSU works in partnerships across the university on initiatives in practice and in policy within the area of teaching and learning.
