Dr Sioftanos is the Director of the University of Nicosia Medical Centre and Clinical Assistant Professor of General Practice at the University of Nicosia Medical School. He has been working in the UK’s NHS since 2003, and as a GP in London since 2010. Dr Sioftanos is a Member of the UK Royal College of General Practitioners and he has a special interest in diabetes and in cardiology.

Dr Michael is a Clinical Assistant Professor of General Practice at the University of Nicosia Medical School. He has been working in the UK NHS since 2011, and in London as a General Practitioner since 2016. Dr Michael was a Clinical Supervisor for Imperial Medical School community placements. He is a Member of the UK Royal College of General Practitioners and has a special interest in dermatology.

Dr Georgiou is a Clinical Assistant Professor of General Practice at the University of Nicosia Medical School. She has been working in the UK’s NHS since 2003, and as a GP since 2010. Dr Evagoras Nicolaides is the Director of Postgraduate General Medicine and Professor of Postgraduate Medicine at the University of Nicosia Medical School. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, he formerly served as Director of the Cardiology Department and Medical Director of Nicosia General Hospital. He has also served as the first Chairman of the Cyprus Medical Education Council.
Dr George Athanasiou, MD (Charles University Prague), MSc (Open University Cyprus), AvME (King’s College London)
Dr George Athanasiou is a Clinical Assistant Professor of General Practice and Head of Occupational Health Services at the University of Nicosia Medical School. He served for eight years in the A&E Department of the Larnaca General Hospital. His research focuses on primary healthcare management and quality improvement. He is interested in Aviation Medicine, where he is active in the medical certification of flying personnel. His interests also include Emergency and Major Disaster Management.
Dr Ilias Koutsogeorgis, MD
Consultant Cardiologist with special interest in Arrhythmias, Heart Failure and Cardiac Devices (Cardiac Device Specialist- Certified by the European Heart Rhythm Association)
Dr Ilias Koutsogeorgis, Lead for Cardiology Services at the Medical Centre, is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in Electrophysiology, Heart Failure and Cardiac Devices. He particularly focuses on the management of arrhythmias, heart failure and cardiomyopathies and he is certified by the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) for implantation and follow- up of all types of Cardiac Devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization therapy, subcutaneous ICDs). He is also performing highly complex cases of transvenous lead extraction.
Dr Koutsogeorgis qualified with an MD from the University of Athens in 2005. Following junior medical training in Greece he began specialist cardiology training in Athens in 2009. He was the youngest cardiologist in Greece to get Cardiac Device Certification Level 1, in Nice, France in 2014 and received a scholarship from the Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge, as a fellow in cardiac devices. After finishing his training in Cardiology he was appointed as a Research Fellow in cardiac devices at Barts Heart Center in London, the largest unit in Europe. In 2018 he was appointed as an Honorary Consultant at Barts Heart Center in cardiac devices and arrhythmias and in 2019 he was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist with Special Interest in cardiac devices at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. In 2020 he got a Consultant Post in London at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. In Cyprus he is leading the cardiac care at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics in patients with rare diseases and performs all type of device implantations (pacemaker, defibrillators (ICDs), Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRTs), Subcutaneous defibrillators (ICDs) ) at the German Oncology Center in Limassol. He has participated as an investigator in several Multi- Center Trials in Heart Failure and Cardiac Device therapy (PRAETORIAN, UNTOUCHED, STRIVE- HF, MINERVA)
His areas of expertise include implantable loop recorders (ILRs,) pacemakers, implantable cardioverter- defibrillators (ICDs,) subcutaneous defibrillators (S- ICDs,) cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRTs,) syncope, echocardiography, stress test, holter ECG recordings, holter blood pressure recordings, stroke prevention, whereas some of the conditions he commonly treats include arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, palpitations, loss of consciousness episodes, heart failure, hypertension, coronary artery disease.
Dr Agnieszka Swiecicka-Mitsides MD, MRCP (UK), PhD

Dr Swiecicka-Mitsides is a Visiting Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Andrology and Internal Medicine at UNIC Medical Centre and an Assistant Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School. She graduated from the Medical University of Lublin, Poland in 2006 and continued her postgraduate education in the UK where she earned her PhD in Endocrinology from the University of Manchester. Dr Swiecicka-Mitsides is a member of the Royal College of Physicians UK and a qualified Clinical Andrologist accredited by the European Academy of Andrology. She practiced medicine in the UK for 15 years. Her research interests are in the areas of reproductive endocrinology, andrology and infertility.
Dr Swiecicka-Mitsides sees patients with the following conditions: thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules), parathyroid disorders, impaired calcium metabolism, vitamin D deficiency, adrenal disorders, hypothalamic-pituitary disorders, menstrual abnormalities, polycystic ovarian syndrome, hirsutism, low testosterone in men, erectile dysfunction, low libido, male and female infertility (endocrine causes), osteoporosis, type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus and its complications, obesity, metabolic syndrome.

Dr Lambrianides is a Visiting Specialist in Neurology at the UNIC Medical Centre and a Clinical Instructor at the UNIC Medical School. He is also a Consultant Neurologist at Apollonion Hospital and worked as a Consultant (Oberarzt) in Oberhausen, Germany and at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics. His research interests are in Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke.

Dr Argyridou has been a Registered Dietitian since 2016. She is the founder of MedInDiet where she supports individuals and groups through private consultations and educational sessions. She completed her PhD at the Leicester Diabetes Centre, one of the largest clinical research groups in diabetes in the UK. She has a special interest in type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease prevention and management.

Dr Soteriadou graduated with a medical degree from the University of Manchester in 2006. She completed a her training in the U.K. and worked there as a Consultant in the NHS.
She has a vast experience in dealing with gastroenterology related conditions which include Endoscopy (Diagnostic and Therapeutic Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy), Luminal (Inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis, Irritable bowel Syndrome, Coeliac disease etc.) and Hepatology. Dr Soteriadou believes in research and has been involved in several projects. She has presented her work in National and International conferences and is a published author. She believes in the importance of continuing medical education thus attends conferences and online sessions to ensure she keeps up with the latest guidelines. Throughout her career she has been involved in teaching and education and was the Training and Education Lead in her previous job. She has taught and has been an examiner of doctors, medical students, and allied health professionals. Dr Soteriadou is a Member of the PanCyprian Medical Association, Cypriot & British Society of Gastroenterology, Royal College of Physicians, and the General Medical Council.
