Cyprus General Healthcare System (GHS) provides comprehensive medical care to all eligible residents, including students from European countries. If you are a citizen of the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Switzerland and wish to register with the GHS, you will need to obtain a certificate of entitlement to healthcare (S1 form) from your country of residence. The rules and conditions for obtaining an S1 form vary, so you should check with your health insurance authority in your home country to determine your eligibility.

If you are not eligible for an S1 form, a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) may provide access to medically necessary healthcare during a temporary study stay in Cyprus, subject to your eligibility and the applicable rules. Check with your home-country health insurance authority whether your cover is valid for the full duration of your studies.
