February 2025

The European Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) is sponsoring a new hybrid training course on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) with a focus on paediatric settings. This course is a collaborative effort involving experts from Europe, the USA, Australia, and the Penta-ID Network, coordinated by the Medical School of the University of Nicosia (UNIC), the University of Padova in Italy, the Center of Clinical Epidemiology and Outcomes Research (CLEO) in Greece, and the Pan-European Paediatric Research (PENTA).

The course features two fully interactive components: an online training programme with integrated live webinar sessions, and a 2-day on-site IPC simulation workshop in Athens, Greece. The workshop aims to consolidate online learning and provide practical, hands-on experience.

Among the distinguished speakers are Professor Susan Coffin from CHOP Hospital in Philadelphia and Tamasin Adams, Director of Healthcare Epidemiology at Stony Brook Medicine. Also included is UNIC Medical School’s Professor Zoi Dorothea Pana.
