A resume may look a little more professional if it includes extracurricular activities related to one’s field of study. Having the chance to participate in the University’s Academic Societies can do the trick!
A growing range of course-related academic societies are active at our University. You may find societies for the majority of undergraduate courses within the University, along with societies for postgraduate and mature students. The main goal of these societies is to bring students, faculty, and alumni together in an ‘out-of-the-classroom’ atmosphere so that they can meet and discuss course relevant topics and issues.
In addition, academic societies provide students with information about the university, its courses and whenever necessary advise and help them with their studies and projects. Through activities such as educational events, community service, social functions, committee involvement, etc., each society also helps its members acquire additional skills and improve their knowledge in order to be successful.
