During the current Coronavirus Pandemic, you may be feeling stressed due to concerns about your responsibilities, your health, the health of the people in your life, or the future.

But, there are activities that can help you manage your stress in a healthful way, like dance!  Dancing can boost your moodreduce stress, and provide enjoyment, but it also has many more benefits.  For people of all ages, dancing is a wonderful way to add physical activity into the day.  Regular dancing can help improve posture, muscle strength and balance.  Dancing can also help with coordination and maintaining strong bones.  For the young, for example, it can help manage the stress of school exams.  And, dancing can help improve the areas of the brain that control memory and skills, important in, for example, those with memory loss or Alzheimer’s disease.

With so many benefits to dance, the University of Nicosia’s Department of Music and Dance along with the University of Nicosia Medical School would like to invite you all to participate in the following free, live virtual dance session.  This class will be taught by the Faculty of the Department of Music and Dance of the University of Nicosia.

Language of instruction: English and Greek

The webinar is free and open to all: children, youth, adults, and the young at heart!
