Dr Maria Vrikki

Adjunct Faculty

Dr Maria Vrikki is a researcher and adjunct faculty member at the University of Nicosia. Her research focuses on identifying and studying high quality dialogues in a range of classroom contexts, as well as in collaborative teacher professional development contexts. She has been working on a number of research projects for the last 10 years at the University of Cambridge, the University of Cyprus and the University of Nicosia. Current projects include the SciLMi project, which aims to identify and promote competences that young students need in order to deal with misinformation as future democratic citizens. Maria has a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from the University of Oxford. She is currently teaching Educational Research Methodology courses to postgraduate students.
