Coming from a traditional quantitative finance background, my interest in blockchain developed over a number of years, dating back to 2012 when Bitcoin was still a curiosity to many and a genius invention to those in the know. Having spent time on the sidelines doing my own crypto research and analysis, I needed to dig deeper and immerse myself in an experience rather than opting for a traditional six- or twelve-week executive course.

The UNIC Master’s program in Blockchain and Digital Currency is providing me with a holistic understanding of blockchain technology, encompassing its technical intricacies, economic implications, and societal impact. The program is truly challenging me, pushing the boundaries of my knowledge and inspiring me to explore new frontiers in this rapidly evolving field.

As Chief Strategy Officer of Ouinex, my career in blockchain and crypto has been founded on a solid footing. As a member of the BRICS Business Council working group, I am now better positioned to propose a CBDC to facilitate trade and commerce amongst the BRICS.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the exceptional staff and faculty members. As a dedicated staff member, Armantos Katsioloudes has been instrumental in shaping my educational journey as my first contact point at UNIC. My professors Andreas Antonopoulos, Antonis Polemitis, Marinos Themistocleous, Christos Makridis and Elias Iosif, among others, have imparted invaluable wisdom and expertise, fuelling my passion for blockchain and digital currencies. Their guidance and thought-provoking lectures have indeed expanded my horizons.

Over the last year, I have gained much more profound and complete knowledge and have had the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of international students from various backgrounds. Together, we share the experience, contributing to a truly enriching journey. I would highly recommend the UNIC Master’s in Blockchain and Digital Currencies for those seeking to be challenged, change or broaden career opportunities or to those who wish to remain relevant.
